FAQ

Got questions?

A few things worth knowing about my background and how I work.

15+ years in design - spanning agency work across branding, digital, and motion, with campaigns for brands like Google, Nissan, MTN, FNB, and Standard Bank. Currently Senior Marketing Designer at Paradigm, a U.S. SaaS fintech, where I drive digital marketing design across web, campaigns, and sales enablement.
Both - I'm comfortable working independently and thrive with focused solo output, but I genuinely value collaboration. Working alongside marketing, product, and dev teams brings out better work. I adapt to whatever the environment needs.
Financial services (FNB, Hollard, Momentum), telco (MTN), tech (Google, Paradigm, RelayRay), automotive (Nissan), and FMCG. The variety is intentional - I adapt quickly to new sectors and build understanding of the audience fast.
I start with understanding the problem, not jumping to aesthetics. Research, reference, audience context - then I push toward a concept that has a clear point of view. I'd rather produce one strong idea than five mediocre directions.
Actively and intentionally. AI is woven into how I work - Midjourney for visual ideation, Claude for copy and problem-solving, AI coding tools for building things I wouldn't have been able to build solo. That said, I'm always in the driver's seat. The thinking, the art direction, the creative decisions - that's still me. AI handles the heavy lifting on execution, but it doesn't have taste, context, or judgement. I do. I treat it like any other tool: understand it well enough to get real value out of it, not just the surface stuff. The way I see it, ignoring these tools doesn't make you a purist - it just makes you slower. I'd rather stay sharp and know exactly what I'm working with.
